Position Summary:

The Programs Coordinator is responsible for executing all logistical aspects of an assigned portfolio of short-term programs worldwide, including working with faculty to design programs and securing services with vendors. The Programs Coordinator will also advise students on education abroad options.

 

Job Duties:

70% - Execute logistics for an assigned portfolio of faculty led and other programs, including but not limited to: Soliciting current and future vendors for quotes to host various program details (e.g. housing, excursions, classroom space, etc.); Developing program budgets; Evaluating vendors and providers to identify those that will best meet program needs; Working with faculty to execute program vision; Managing applications and deposits. 

20% - Recruitment and Advising, including but not limited to: Advise students on education abroad options throughout the year; Engage in student outreach activities to raise awareness and promote faculty led and short term abroad programs; Inform students, faculty, staff and parents on UD and CIP administrative policies, procedures and opportunities for faculty led and short term abroad programs.

10 % - All other duties as assigned. This may include representing the Office of Education Abroad on committees, generating reports, creating and updating workflow processes, attending programs and events, or special projects as needed. It may also include taking the lead on a particular responsibility, such as managing Studio Abroad, overseeing the development of marketing flyers, and/or managing course registration and billing.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree and two years related professional experience OR a Master’s Degree and one year of related professional experience. Experience studying or living abroad. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Superior organizational skills. Ability to work some evenings and weekends. Ability to work with and include a diverse student, faculty, and staff community.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred Requirements: At least one year experience as an administrator of Studio Abroad (Terra Dotta); Experience advising students; Participant on and/or managed a short term program abroad; Experience working with international service providers and/or travel services; Strong presentation skills; Experience working with a diverse student, faculty, and staff community.
