Position Summary:

UDRI is looking for a DevSecOps Manager to join the SPIRE group. You will contribute to a growing team responsible for development, security and operations frameworks and documenting research and development workflows supporting secure, scalable AI systems. This is a full time benefit eligible position that offers health, dental and vision insurance, retirement, disability, tuition assistance for you and your dependents, vacation/sick accrual and holiday pay.

In this role you will utilize, manage, develop and document DevSecOps frameworks and tools to support for secure, scalable AI systems. Your leadership will empower developers, operations professionals, and security experts to work in unison, leveraging cutting-edge tools and methodologies to deliver secure, high-quality solutions. You will interface directly with project leadership and engineers to document technical efforts and generate technical knowledge that supports multiple advanced technology areas.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree

2. Minimum of 8 years related work experience

3. Professional experience working within Development, Security and Operations (DevSecOps) frameworks and documenting research and development workflows for secure, scalable AI systems

4. Professional experience in DevSecOps practices and tools, with hands-on experience documenting secure development workflows, pipelines, and compliance requirements

5. Professional experience with source code version control systems such as Git, Subversion, or similar

6. Understanding of cloud services (e.g., AWS GovCloud, GCP) and containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

7. Understanding and experience with current Air Force R&D efforts in the area of Artificial Intelligence, Autonomy and Machine Learning with a focus on aerial refueling

8. Professional technical writing and documentation experience, including ovt R&D proposals and contract required technical reports

9. Enthusiastic, motivated, self-starting individual with a willingness to learn new skills. Examples of this include evaluating new development frameworks and tools, and finding and fostering connections between projects and technologies

10. Effective written and verbal communication skills

11. Active US SECRET (or higher) clearance

12. Due to the requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be a U.S. citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

1. Professional experience with collection, synthesis and distillation of complex technical information from subject matter experts regarding various advanced technologies

2. Understanding and experience with technical communications

3. Experience with evaluation, refactoring, and editing of existing content across multiple projects and GitLab repositories

4. Experience with research and development methods, including qualitative and quantities methods

5. Leadership and team management experience

6. Demonstrated, effective interpersonal skills

7. Experience working with socially and culturally diverse communities
