The University of Dayton Department of Accounting invites applications for two non-tenure track positions at the rank of Lecturer. Responsibilities include teaching four course sections per semester. Typically, Lecturers teach no more than two different course preparations per semester. These are nine-month positions, beginning August 16, 2021, with possibility of renewal. Lecturers generally participate in departmental service and extra-departmental programs, curricular projects, and community engagement activities. Lecturers may choose to participate in the university’s promotion process leading to Principal and Senior Lecturer statuses commensurate with years of service, professional development, and continued excellence in teaching. Machining & Additive Manufacturing Technician Add Mfg & Repair Technol - 250422
This position will support advanced manufacturing programs for sustainment activities. The position will serve as the lab technician for the machining and additive manufacturing labs, including part post processing such as manual machining, 5 axis milling, heat treating and wire EDM, equipment/lab maintenance, consumable and spare parts procurement, mentoring and leading younger or less skilled technicians, while adhering to lab and equipment guidelines. The successful candidate will understand machining and additive manufacturing techniques and provide guidance on design for manufacturability, equipment and part set up and part processing. The majority of work will support government customers, but some industry partners will be supported as well.

Focus will be on determining the fit, form and function of existing aerospace components and translating this knowledge into the technical data required to produce the equivalent or superior performing part using an additive manufacturing process. An additive manufacturing product development process is used to guide the design engineer, but it is essential that the engineer be well versed in the fundamentals of mechanical design as well as possess the ability to assess requirements and choose the most economical combination of part geometry and material properties to take full advantage of the additive manufacturing process.
