Position Summary: The Marketing and Communications Coordinator is a part-time role (est 25 hours a week) and has the opportunity to be part of a creative and collaborative team. This individual will be part of the Department of Campus Engagement and report to the Director. Primary responsibilities are to communicate in written and/or visual form through a variety of platforms and to diverse audiences that highlight the university’s intercultural engagement and global learning initiatives. This individual coordinates with departments across the Center for International Programs to 1) collect, edit and develop content for communications 2) develop and manage internal and external website 3) support graphic design needs by a combination of designing visuals and working with external designers 4) support and advance social media, video production, and newsletter efforts 5) serve on various committees. In addition, the Marketing and Communications Coordinator will support the development of marketing and communications infrastructure in the Center, address any new projects that arise, and oversee marketing and communications student employees.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communication, English, and/or related area; Strong written, project management and technical skills;
Detail oriented;
Experience coordinating and developing print and digital marketing projects

Preferred Qualifications:

Two years of relevant experience;
Intermediate knowledge of Cascade Management System (or other website management system), MailChimp, Hootesuite, Twitter, Facebook, Canva, Creative Cloud, Adobe Suite;
Intercultural awareness and understanding of culturally appropriate language, tone and visuals;
Ability to work in diverse, highly collaborative and consultative environment;
Creative thinker and problem solver with positive outlook and comfort with fast paced, changing, customer service oriented environment;
Management and mentorship experience;
Knowledge of and sensitively to a Catholic Marianist work environment
