Position Summary:

The University of Dayton has a significant grant from the Kern Entrepreneurship Engineering Network (KEEN) that is focused on faculty development to enhance undergraduate engineering education. The KEEN Program Coordinator will work with the Director of the Visioneering Center to develop, organize, and execute the KEEN program. Duties include working collaboratively with faculty to develop curricular enhancements, marketing, budget management, event management, drafting reports, and various administrative functions.

In addition, this position supports numerous School of Engineering (SoE) programs and initiatives including the annual Academic Research Colloquium (ARC), the College Teaching Seminar course series, recruiting and supporting Ph.D. students to teach Project Lead the Way (PLTW) at Chaminade Julienne High School and Mathematics at the Dayton Early Childhood Education Academy (DECA), among others.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, education, or equivalent. Five years of work experience that includes project and/or event management. Willingness and ability to engage with faculty one on one and in groups. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with university faculty. Two years experience in higher education. Ability to influence, persuade, and encourage faculty to participate in the KEEN Program. Knowledge of budget management. Excellent oral communication skills. Ability to travel via air for up to 3 days.
