Position Summary: THIS POSITION IS LOCATED AT TINKER AFB, OK. The selected candidate will serve as a subject matter expert in aerospace systems nondestructive inspection and aircraft maintenance. Primary duties include field assessment of base, MAJCOM, and other US Air Force nondestructive inspection programs. Other duties include identifying nondestructive evaluation related material and process needs identifying solutions, participating in development and integration of new solutions, and advising weapon system program offices. Additionally, the selected candidate will serve as an adviser to senior leadership, governance boards and multi service nondestructive inspection forums, and help plan, coordinate, and execute nondestructive inspection training programs and nondestructive inspection specific marketing and communications efforts. The position request expertise that enables prompt, credible responses to field, program office and Air Logistics Complex questions regarding nondestructive evaluation, inspection and testing.
Minimum Qualifications:

AAS degree in Nondestructive Testing Technology (or equivalent) and/or previous nondestructive inspection Level 2 or 3 certification(s) IAW NAS 410 or SNT-TC-1A (or equivalent) and 10+ years’ experience in the AF nondestructive inspection career field, 3+ years managing an AF Field nondestructive inspection laboratory. NAS 410 or SNT-TC-1A certifications in the five traditional AF nondestructive inspection methods is a plus. Knowledge of military materials and processes and standards. Excellent written communication skills. Self-motivated, independent worker with impeccable judgment, US citizen, ability to obtain a secret clearance within 1 year of hire. Willing to travel (up to 120 days annually).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience as Air Force Nondestructive Inspection Field Program Manager/Liaison, 3+ years’ experience working in the AF Nondestructive Inspection Office. Excellent verbal communication skills. Documented experience hours that meet or exceed NAS410 Level 2 requirements in the five traditional methods. Demonstrated self-starter with vision to see new ways of doing business - out of the box thinking.
