Position Summary:

The Identify, Apply and Scale (IAS) capability, located at the Greene Towne Centre, is the hub of the Rapid Sustainment Office (RSO) and will be the lead in bringing together a comprehensive network of new technological methods, processes, and techniques. Success will come from our teamwork and mutual respect for each other’s talents and unique perspectives.

This position will provide event coordination for the RSO team, including pitch days and other events held by the RSO team at the IAS or other facilities identified by the Rapid Sustainment Office. Responsibilities will include planning, coordination, and implementation of pitch days and on demand pitch day events, determining layout for events, demonstrations, and programming; selecting vendors, reporting status to internal and external stakeholders, establishing and tracking timelines and deliverables for each event, and coordination of all communication related to the pitch day events.

Minimum Qualifications:

A1 Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field or 4 years diverse event planning, communications, marketing or related experience
If possess Bachelors, 0-3 years of experience in coordinating, managing, and executing successful events
Demonstrated attention to detail
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills to effectively manage various project activities, ensuring accurate and timely task completion
Experience working with tight deadlines, with potential to change
Capable of working independently, with little supervision, in a fast-paced environment
Consistent, professional dress and manner
Deadline oriented and demonstrated creative problem solver
Effective communicator and presenter
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with different personality types
Demonstrated effective verbal communication with clients at all levels
Possess or have the ability to obtain a security clearance

A2 Minimum Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to work closely with internal teams and collaborate cross functionally to support communications and event initiatives
Flexible in assignment of tasks and hours
Occasional travel may be required
High level of organization, strategic thinking, and presentation required
Knowledge of event planning, marketing principles and practices with the ability to guide the creation of professional events and, if required, promotional materials
Demonstrated experience organizing and running local, regional, national, or international conferences
Effective interpersonal communication skills
Familiarity with organizing virtual events
Self-motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision
