Position Summary:

The School of Education and Health Sciences at the University of Dayton is seeking a dynamic individual to coordinate operations for the Educational Field Office (EFO). This is a 10.5-month (Aug. 16 - June 30), full-time (35 hours/week), FLSA exempt staff position with an anticipated start date of December 1, 2020.

Core responsibilities of this position include:
-Arrangement of field placements, student teaching and internships for teacher candidates, in consultation with the Teacher Education faculty program coordinators
-Development and maintenance of school partnerships
-Coordination of administrative functions
-Oversight of VIRTUS training and Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation reviews

Minimum Qualifications:

-Master’s degree in Education
-Three years teaching experience as a licensed P-12 educator in the U.S.
-Strong written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

-Prior or current teaching licensure in the state of Ohio
-Successful experience in oversight of teaching field experiences and internships, including:
mentoring pre-service and/or new teachers; collaborative teamwork; compilation of data and data analysis
-Working knowledge of Ohio Resident Educator Summative Assessment and policies for entry-level teachers
-Successful experience as a P-12 administrator in the U.S.
-Strong oral communication skills
-Effective interpersonal communication skills
-Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Drive, Calendar)
-Knowledge of and sensitivity to values central to a Marianist education, including a commitment to social justice and learning in diverse settings.
