Position Summary: The Associate Director for Education and Outreach oversees gender-focused campus-wide educational initiatives for faculty, staff, and students. With intersectionality as the cornerstone of their philosophy and praxis, the associate director develops, implements, markets, and assesses existing Women’s Center educational programs and will be responsible for cultivating new educational and professional development opportunities for the campus community. The Associate Director will also develop sustainable partnerships with academic units to offer experiential learning opportunities in the Women’s Center for undergraduate and graduate students. The position will oversee campus engagement, organize and participate in key events and programs, and maintain and strengthen partnerships with units across campus. Drawing on a deep understanding of interlocking systems of oppression and privilege, the position will also support efforts connected to the Diversity Strategic Plan, and those managed by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion. The position reports to the Director of the Women’s Center and supervises a Graduate Assistant.
Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as in women’s and gender studies, social sciences, or humanities;

3 years of demonstrated experience leading educational efforts at a university, non-profit, or similar organization related to women’s rights and gender and racial equity;

Excellent written and oral communication skills; Experience mentoring or supervising students, interns or staff;

Demonstrated experience developing relationships and facilitating collaboration with various stakeholders;

Demonstrated respect for diversity, equity and inclusion and ability to foster an inclusive environment;

Excellent interpersonal skills;

Demonstrated effective presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Terminal degree (Ph.D., J.D., etc.) in a relevant field, such as women’s and gender studies, social sciences, or humanities;

5 years of demonstrated experience leading educational efforts at a university, non-profit, or similar organization related to women’s rights and gender and racial equity;

Demonstrated ability to engage in strategic planning and project/program formulation;

Experience in assessing educational programming;

Experience in organizing events;

Knowledge of digital media and communications applications, including ; social media platforms, and web content management systems;

Experience in the development and implementation of experiential learning opportunities for graduate and undergraduate students;

Experience managing budgets;

Valid driver's license, maintains a low risk driving record and is able to be insured by the university;

Knowledge of or willingness to engage with Catholic and Marianist educational values
