Position Summary:

The Assistant Director for Campus Engagement, in collaboration with the Director is responsible for the support and development of intercultural learning opportunities for students on campus, campus collaborative programming, and support of marketing and communication initiatives within the Center for International Programs.

Some aspects of this role:
-Oversee two residential communities and continue to build co-curricular and curricular experiences that advance student capacity to be globally conscious leaders through these communities and other ongoing programming. This includes overseeing two Graduate Assistants and designing and facilitating mini-courses.
-In collaboration with campus partners, support the advancement of dialogue efforts and campus intercultural programming.
-Coordinate events and write blog stories throughout the year that celebrate diversity and highlight the impact of global learning experiences.
-Be responsible for development and delivery of intercultural training and workshops, offered primarily to students and some staff audiences.
-Serve on campus committees that support diversity, equity and inclusion efforts.

Minimum Qualifications:

-Master's degree
-Minimum of two years work experience in international higher education, intercultural education, and/or community engagement
-Experience with program development, assessment and event planning
-Demonstrated effective written skills
-Demonstrated intercultural sensitivity
-Ability and willingness to work some nights and weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

-Master's degree in international studies, higher education, communications, humanities or social sciences or equivalent
-Three or more years work experience in international higher education, intercultural education, and/or community engagement
-Experience with facilitating intercultural training workshops, dialogue and programs for students
-Dynamic oral communication and presentation skills
-Experience working in or developing marketing and communication
-Budgeting and administrative experience
-Ability to build and maintain relationships with campus partners
-Mentorship and/or supervision experience of students
