Position Summary: Rooted in and informed by the University’s Catholic and Marianist mission, the Associate Director of Workforce Diversification (Associate Director) is chiefly responsible for the development and implementation of strategies designed to increase diversity and equity among faculty, staff, and administrators, positioning the University as an employer of choice. Reporting to the Vice President for Human Resources, and working in close collaboration with the Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion, the Office of the Provost, and other campus partners, as well as external organizations, the responsibilities of the Associate Director include but are not limited to; representing the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, as well as the function of Affirmative Action during pre-search meetings, assisting in the development of search plans designed to generate diverse candidate pools, identifying and implementing best practices for the development of a diverse workforce, and facilitating training regarding hiring policies, procedures, and practices.
Minimum Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
● Demonstrated understanding of the principles of Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employment
● Demonstrated understanding of the principles of diversity and inclusion and its importance to a highly effective workforce
● Demonstrated experience in working well in a diverse environment in addition to excellent organizational and interpersonal and communication skills
● Demonstrated consultative and collaboration skills
● Five years demonstrated experience with hiring processes, outreach and recruitment efforts.
● Proven knowledge of best recruitment and hiring process practices
● Experience developing strategic search plans designed to generate diverse candidate pools

Preferred Qualifications:

● Master’s degree in organizational development, human resources, or diversity and inclusion leadership
● Experience developing and presenting training on diversity, equity and inclusion.
● Proven experience developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external constituents.
● Experience using data analytics to demonstrate success.
● Knowledge of and compliance with all government regulations and laws related to the employment process.
