Position Summary: This position will function as the primary Academic Advisor for students in one or majors in the School of Business Administration. The majors assigned for advising will depend on curriculum and enrollment and may change over time. The Academic Advisor will also be expected to have a working knowledge of all business majors and to advise those students on walk in days and as needed. Other duties include: meeting with prospective students and their families, coordinating and organizing open houses and group visits with Enrollment Management for prospective students, conducting meetings for students interested in transferring into the School of Business from other units, evaluating transfer credits from other schools, certifying students for graduation, and communicating and upholding School of Business policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Experience working with individuals in a educational setting. Experience working independently. Experience completing projects. Must have working skills with basic office information technology and systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

Three or more years experience in advising or other higher education position. Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, College Student Personnel, or Business Administration from an accredited college or university. Strong interpersonal communication skills.
