Position Summary:

The candidate will be a member of the FASTLANE team and have responsibilities focused on business development (sales) activities to accomplish the objectives of the FASTLANE-MEP organization. A successful individual would be detail-oriented, customer-focused, analytical, self-motivated, team-focused and skilled in multi-tasking.

Duties / Responsibilities:

* CRM / Client Data Support: Utilize the Salesforce Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) to document: sales activities, account information, project impact data, create & run reports, data mine, create target account lists and track metrics. (50%)

* Process Support: Facilitate the client-impact survey process and provide other administrative support to the Business Development team to help enable and improve the sales process. (20%)

* Customer Service: Perform key customer service tasks in a timely fashion including responding to phone and website inquires, supporting targeted outreach campaigns, and vetting & directly engaging new/entrepreneurial clients. (15%)

* Market Data Support": Enhance the Business Development team by searching, identifying and organizing information re: all regional manufacturing and business events; and by creating/updating a list of current and new grant opportunities for clients the FASTLANE Sales team can leverage. (15%)

Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management or related field, or a minimum of four years of pertinent experience in lieu of said degree.
* 3+ years of coordination/administrative/customer service experience in sales project management, or consulting teams.
* Experience working with a CRM system/database.
* Experience creating, running, compiling and analyzing (e.g. identify trends) customized report data.
* Proficiency in MS-Office suite (esp. Excel for formulas, graphs and trends).
* Excellent customer service skills - friendly/pleasant and responsive to both internal and external customers.
* Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
* Demonstrated success working in a team-setting and accomplishing team-centric goals.
* Must be organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
* Is a self-starter and personally accountable; with demonstrated success working individually.
* Must have a valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working with Salesforce.
* Experience/expertise in process improvement.
* Previous experience in a manufacturing or technical industry
* Experience with the Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) Program
