Position Summary: The Program Manager for the Flyer Promise Scholars (FPS) program is an integral position within the Department of Recruitment and Admissions. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, oversight, and execution of all aspects of the Flyer Promise Scholars program and event programming for current, incoming, and prospective scholars. This position will also provide back-up support for additional programming within the division of enrollment management.
Working in concert and collaboration with the Flyer Promise Scholars administrative team --and reporting to the Director of College Access, Success and Transition – the FPS Program Manager is responsible for providing day-to-day logistical and administrative support to support the growth and maturity of the program. The primary function of the Program Manager will be to coordinate all programmatic features of the Flyer Promise Scholars program.
The Program Manager will be proficient in all procedures related to the assigned area(s) of responsibility, thus allowing for a high degree of independent judgment, tact, and initiative. The successful candidate will enact high attention to detail in the commission of their work, strong problem-solving capabilities, and be proficient in prioritizing and managing their time independently.
Minimum Qualifications:

• At least two years of progressively responsible experience in event planning and an Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited university OR one year of experience and a Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university.
• Experience working with students and families from underrepresented backgrounds.
• Demonstrated experience planning and coordinating events.
• Demonstrated skills in planning and coordinating multiple projects occurring simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in higher education administration, college student personnel, or related fields from a regionally accredited university.
• Experience working with college-level student activities, student development, pre-college, summer bridge, or scholarship programs.
• Progressively increasing administrative, event planning, and/or supervisory experience.
• Ability to communicate (verbally and written) in both English and Spanish
