Position Summary:

The Compensation Analyst works in the Office of Human Resources and provides professional level support to the compensation function for the Universities Staff Classification and Compensation Programs.

Specific responsibilities may include: researching and evaluating classification & determination of grade levels, participating in assigned salary surveys; analysis of market data, developing and maintaining job descriptions, consulting with hiring managers and employment staff to determine the appropriate level of pay for new hires and internal transfers; and serving as a resource to both internal and external customers.

Minimum Qualifications:

*Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
*Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
*Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS, payroll and similar employee management software.
*Experience analyzing data, preparing reports and providing recommendations based on the analysis.
*Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
*Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
*Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service.

Preferred Qualifications:

*At least 2 years of experience in Human Resources.
*One or more years of experience performing compensation analyst job duties or role.
*Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point, Banner and reporting tools.
*Successful experience working effectively with others in a wide variety of situations.
*Successful and strong organizational skills.
*Successful experience working both independently and as part of a team.
