Position Summary: The Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) is responsible for the accreditation, administration, and maintenance of classified automated information systems (AIS) at various clearance levels. These tasks include:
-Ensure the AIS is properly accredited by meeting confidentiality, integrity, and availability requirements established by the government
-Enforce security policies and safeguards pertaining to the AIS
-Provide training and support to AIS users
-Perform required audits, backups, and other maintenance and monitoring actions Draft and implement System Security Plans
-Perform spill mitigation and provide reports to the government
-Establish and conduct user training for personnel accessing the AIS
-Conduct continuous monitoring activities and implement improvements
-Serve as the alternate COMSEC custodian
-Assist in information security tasks for the organization as needed
-Assisting with other security tasks as required
Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree or a minimum of 4 years experience in information systems security
- Experience accrediting systems under the Risk Management Framework
- In-scope, final Department of Defense Secret clearance
- Minimum of three years related experience
- Due to the nature of this position, U.S. citizenship is required. The ability to obtain and
maintain a Top Secret security clearance is required
- If required, willingness to submit to a counter-intelligence polygraph test

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with JSIG and/or ICD system accreditation procedures
- Experience establishing and administering classified networks
- Knowledge of requirements for the transfer and storage of controlled unclassified
information (CUI)
- AIS troubleshooting experience
- Familiarity with Information Technology systems such as Microsoft Active Directory, Hyper-
V virtual server, and SharePoint
- Familiarity with COMSEC handling and accounting
