Position Summary: The Building Services Specialist is responsible for identifying, receiving and resolving building maintenance issues. Coordinates with Alpha and Omega and Facilities personnel. Maintains, relocates, repairs, and/or disposes of furniture and equipment as needed. Responsible for installation of pictures and artwork; responsible for assisting with set-up and tear-down of events. Hires, supervises, trains and schedules Building Services student employees.
Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent. Good verbal and written communication skills. Good problem solving, time management and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a team environment. Possess a strong commitment to customer service. Knowledge of building services. Working knowledge of basic hand tools. Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds. Ability to use a ladder to change clocks, adjust Gallery spot lights and hang artwork. Basic computer skills including knowledge of emails. Valid driver's license with low risk driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior administrative office experience. Supervision of student assistants. Knowledge of Library of Congress classification system. 1-3 years experience in an academic or public library.
