Position Summary: This position is responsible for the direction, planning, organization, development and implementation of all financial and budgetary operations in the School of Business Administration. Reporting directly to the Dean, this position serves in an advisory capacity to provide budget development and monitoring, forecasting, financial analysis, and long-range financial planning for the School. This position monitors all personnel related actions and develops strategies to meet the human capital needs of all departments. Additionally, this position is the key liaison with other administrative units on campus as well as a member of the cross functional Business Officer Leadership Team. Also responsible for managing and coordinating SBA facilities, classrooms, learning spaces, computer labs and office spaces.
Minimum Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration or finance. Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in accounting, finance, budget preparation and management.
● Three (3) years demonstrated experience in financial and strategic planning, analysis and forecasting.
● Demonstrated experience of communicating complex financial data and trends to multiple audiences, including executive leadership.
● Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables and deadlines
● Demonstrated attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
● Proficiency in excel and other standard office software applications
● Strong oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

● Master’s degree in business (MBA), accounting or finance
● CPA, CMA or CGMA designation
● Six (6) or more years progressively responsible experience in accounting, budgeting, financial analysis and strategic planning
● Experience working in higher education in an accounting, business of finance role
● Experience using data analysis to measure and track financial performance
● Experience building cross-functional relationships and providing a high level of customer service to internal and external partners
● Experience with Banner, Cognos and/or Anaplan
● Experience with facilities management activities
● Successful experience working with people from diverse backgrounds.
