Position Summary: The Director of Basketball Operations supports all phases of operations for the men's basketball program. Responsibilities include coordination of all team travel, managing player and staff communication platforms, facility scheduling, assisting with camp coordination, on-campus recruiting and operating logistics, serve as liaison with marketing and promotions, compliance and equipment and apparel. All UD Athletics employees are charged with adherence to all NCAA, Atlantic 10 Conference, and University rules and regulations. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate expertise in all aspects of working with student-athletes and a commitment to the highest ideals of leadership, sportsmanship and academics with demonstrated and successful experience working with people from diverse backgrounds.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree
Experienced as a men’s basketball coach at the collegiate or professional level or in basketball administrative roles such as Director of Operations, Player Development, or assistant to the head coach.
Demonstrate expertise in coaching and understanding basketball,
Demonstrated history of professional leadership and integrity,
Possess a valid driver’s license, maintains a low risk driving record and is able to be insured by the university.

Preferred Qualifications:

Three years of experience as a men’s basketball coach at the collegiate or professional level or in administrative basketball roles such as Director of Operations, Player Development, or assistant to the head coach.
Able to demonstrate excellent organizational, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
