Position Summary: Under the direction of the Medical Director and in accordance with the established standards of medical practice, the Staff Physician is responsible for the health care of students and other persons using the University of Dayton Student Health Center. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. To be on duty in the outpatient clinic for consultation, examination and medical care of all patients during the academic year. 2. To provide medical direction to the nursing staff in the absence of the Medical Director. 3. To participate in the formulation of policies and procedures related to the Health Center. 4. To perform other duties or responsibilities as requested by the Medical Director.
Minimum Qualifications:

1. Actively licensed (unrestricted) Doctor of Medicine with training appropriate for college health. 2. Proven experience working with young adults. 3. Basic computer knowledge and skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Board Certification. 2. At least one year of post licensure medical work including adolescents and young adults. 3. No history of significant medical license or other privilege restrictions. 4. Proven experience in the diagnosis and care of mental health, sexual health, and orthopedic conditions. 5. Expertise in radiologic diagnosis and clinical microscopy. 6. Experience in laboratory ordering and review, minor surgery (suturing, etc.), and dispensing of medications. 7. Experience with regular use of electronic medical record. 8. Ability to work within the framework of a Catholic Marianist university and support views consistent with these ideals. 9. Commitment to promoting diversity and a welcoming campus climate. 10. Experience working with international populations. 11. Experience working with a population that may have a gender preference. 12. Ability to work collaboratively as part of the existing Health Center team. 13. Experience working effectively in a fast paced environment 14. Effective communication skills. 15. Demonstrated professionalism. 16. Attention to detail.
