Position Summary:

This position is located at the UDRI Hangar 01 facility supporting the Air Force Rapid Sustainment Office (RSO). The RSO increases mission readiness by rapidly identifying, applying and scaling technology essential to the operation and sustainment of the U.S. Air Force. Hangar 01 is the lead in bringing together a comprehensive network of new technological methods, processes, and techniques. Success comes from our teamwork and mutual respect for each other’s talents and unique perspectives.

We are seeking an organized, efficient IT manager to join our growing organization. In this position, you will be responsible for the overall planning, organization, and execution of all information technology within the Hangar facility. The ideal candidate will work with other staff to carry out the support and maintenance of existing applications and development of new technical solutions.

Responsibilities include:
• Installing and maintaining hardware, software, and peripheral components
• Troubleshooting emergent IT issues for a team of 120 people
• Managing and maintaining the IT tracker database and recommending user improvements
• Providing IT/AV support at meetings and conferences
• Supporting the RSO Chief Operating Officer’s team goals
• Advising RSO leadership on hardware configuration needs and upgrades
• Communicating deficiencies and/or new requirements to contractors for estimating new work
• Recommending IT strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes, identifying problems, and anticipating organizational requirements
• Supporting conference registration and website development activities
• Supporting IT needs for the UDRI STT Division

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• Min 5 years' of experience managing IT systems
• Demonstrated experience with installation and maintenance of hardware, software, and peripheral components
• Security+ Certification
• Microsoft and/or Macintosh Operating Systems and Workstations experience
• Network and Software Troubleshooting skills
• Experience in customer-facing support roles
• Experience with digital signage
• Excellent written communication skills
• Self-motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated effective verbal communication with clients at all levels
• Demonstrated successful collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team
• Consistent, professional dress and manner
• US Citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years managing IT systems
• Demonstrated experience with reporting and business intelligence (BI)
• Demonstrated understanding of security concerns and audience targeting
• Experience in most current technologies
• Experience with AV equipment
• Experience with VISIX software
• Experience with the RSO
• Experience using Salesforce
• 1 year min NIPRNET experience
• IT related certifications, including CompTia A+
• Ability to support a variety of devices at our primary office and remote support
• Understanding of Remote Access capabilities and functionality
• Ability to work on a multi-disciplinary team
• Demonstrated experience with web development
• Willing to work some weekends and evenings
• Ability to travel on a limited basis.
