Position Summary: The University Of Dayton School of Engineering is looking for an experienced laboratory supervisor to manage the equipment and technology necessary for research in our various laboratories. The research laboratory manager will consistently work with faculty and staff on a variety of projects. This position will develop and demonstrate safety training to our faculty and staff, and assist in designing and executing experiments in support of the educational mission of the University. The laboratory manager will be responsible for multiple research laboratories, which will include:
• Manage all Chart-R (Research) purchases – both Runway and Pcard
• Support research laboratory inspections
• Manage physical inventory of research equipment
• Budget Management of various research accounts
• Support student research projects
• Coordinate research lab moves and renovations
Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree in Science, Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.
Excellent written communication skills.
Excellent oral and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering or Engineering Technology.
Experience working in a diverse academic environment and engineering laboratories.
Experience successfully guiding students through laboratory experiments.
Experience testing to scientific standards.
Experience managing budgets
Experience with purchasing equipment and maintaining inventory.
Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
