Position Summary: Under direction of the Catering Services Operations Assistant or Event Supervisor, the Catering Service Attendant provides services related to catered functions on and off campus according to order specifications. This position also assists in food preparation, works as bartender, follows set up/tear down and sanitation procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:

Must have high school diploma or GED. Ability to bend, stoop, stretch, reach, push, pull. Ability to lift equipment, food supplies up to 40 pounds in weight on a regular and continuing basis. Ability to stand or walk up to 4 hours at a time. Possess finger dexterity to use small tools proficiently and have hand/finger/eye coordination. Position may be exposed to wet floors, temperature extremes and loud noise. Must be able to tolerate these conditions. Ability to exert fast paced mobility. Ability to visually differentiate colors. Ability to effectively communicate (written and spoken) in English. Ability to listen attentively to customers, supervisors and other employees. Able to work nights and weekends; able to adapt schedule to manage food service events. FLEXIBILITY REGARDING SCHEDULING IS ESSENTIAL.

Preferred Qualifications:

ServSafe certification. Fine dining or catering experience. Valid driver's license with less than six points, low risk driving record, and certifiable per University requirements. Ability to drive catering transport vehicles. Successful experience assisting customers. Successful experience working with students and a diverse, multi-cultural staff.
