Position Summary:

This position is located at the UDRI Hangar 01 facility supporting the Air Force Rapid Sustainment Office (RSO). The RSO increases mission readiness by rapidly identifying, applying and scaling technology essential to the operation and sustainment of the U.S. Air Force. Hangar 01 is the lead in bringing together a comprehensive network of new technological methods, processes, and techniques. Success comes from our teamwork and mutual respect for each other’s talents and unique perspectives.

The CBM+ Aircraft Maintenance Specialist will ensure raw maintenance data is clearly recorded, correctly interpreted, and appropriately tagged to support meaningful analysis. Similarly, they will share relevant maintenance experiences and lessons learned with CBM+ team members to improve overall team corporate knowledge. The analysis will directly influence decisions regarding Air Force weapon systems and platforms, policies, procedures, safety, and sustainment.

Responsibilities include:
• Review and provide recommendations on revisions of CDRLs, inputs to Program Management Plans (PMPs), replies to Initial Capability Document (ICD)/Capability Development Document (CDD)/Capability Production Document (CPD), Statements of Work (SOWs), and other evaluation criteria/reports
• Understanding and communicating maintenance narratives in common language
• Maintenance narrative interpretation and data set labelling
• Perform tasks related to the total life cycle supportability from concept definition and technical demonstration through disposal
• Teaming with the CBM+ data analyst to transform data into decision-quality information
• Collaboration with other Air Force teams and industry vendors
• Supporting initiatives to improve capture of data at flight-line
• Supporting determinations of candidate platforms and parts for CBM applications
• Ability to analyze and assess risks and benefits of various emerging maintenance data capture technologies
• Reviewing documentation and reference materials for program reviews and conferences
• Creating and presenting briefings
• Coordinating meetings and related team events

Minimum Qualifications:

• 10 years’ direct experience as member of the United States Air Force, working directly with maintenance systems (REMIS, GO-81, IMDS, etc.)
• 7 years’ experience as an Air Force Maintenance Data Analyst, interpreting and analyzing Air Force maintenance systems of record content and data
• Exposure to conditioned based maintenance policies and procedures
• Skilled in navigating, understanding, and interpreting system technical orders and written maintenance policy and directives
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to obtain a Secret level security clearance
• US citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field
• Experience with maintenance program integration
• Maintenance management at the MAJCOM level
• Diverse maintenance experience to include multiple platforms
• Active Secret level security clearance
