Position Summary: This individual will be responsible for all aspects of maintenance of the University Grounds including Residential Properties. The Groundskeeper is responsible for the operation of some mechanized equipment assigned to the department, which includes, but may not be limited to carts, mowers, tractors, trucks, snow plows and vacs.
Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED
Must be able to read, write and speak English
Two (2) years' experience in commercial Grounds Maintenance position.
Experience in operating trucks, loaders, large tractors and other job related tools and equipment.
Skilled in operating standard transmission vehicles.
Must be able to follow detailed instructions, both oral and written.
Individual must have a valid drivers license and be insurable by the University, which includes maintaining a low-risk driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

Current Pesticide License
Must be able to work independently
Paver/irrigation/landscaping experience

Special Instructions to Applicants:

A federal court on December 7, 2021, issued a ruling that suspends the COVID-19 vaccine requirement that applies to federal contractors nationwide. With this development, the University will pause any enforcement action against employees who have not complied with the requirement to be fully vaccinated by Dec. 8, 2021 or to have requested an exemption to maintain their employment status.

The University will continue to monitor the state of the pandemic on campus and in the community as well as developments in federal and state requirements, and also will continue to regularly consult with public health officials and our medical panel.
