Position Summary: This position will support the Cold Spray Repair Technologies Group within the Sustainment Technologies Transition Division. The person filling the position will serve as a repair engineer, which will include developing and managing repair projects, developing test plans and reports, contributing to the creation and execution of materials characterization test plans, and developing training content for repair package design. The successful candidate will understand cold spray repair techniques, cold spray equipment, material testing methods, and repair set-up and pre- and post-processing. The majority of work will support government customers, with potential for industry partners to be supported as well.
Minimum Qualifications:

BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology in technology field and 5 years of experience in lab or technology field.
Demonstrated experience operating/understanding lab equipment.
Direct experience with cold spray equipment (high-pressure and low-pressure cold spray).
Demonstrated knowledge of qualification testing methods and ability to evaluate testing results.
Competency with solid modeling software such as Solidworks.
Experience with metrology and material testing equipment.
Experience working closely with technicians and engineers.
Attention to detail.
Due to the nature of this position, US citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

Experience working with USAF projects.
Experience training others to use equipment and follow procedures.
Effective interpersonal communication skills.
Effective verbal communication skills with team members at all levels and demonstrated organizational skills.

Special Instructions to Applicants:

A federal court on December 7, 2021, issued a ruling that suspends the COVID-19 vaccine requirement that applies to federal contractors nationwide.
