Position Summary: Are you interested in being part of a team that fosters transitional experiences that support the diverse needs of students and their families? Reporting to the Director of Student Transitions & Family Programs, the Associate Director for Family Programs is responsible for the development, coordination, implementation, and assessment of transition and orientation programs that support and enhance the transitions of new students and their families as they transition in and through the institution. This position leads the department’s efforts to communicate with, program for, and support the parents and family of prospective and current students. The Associate Director oversees all orientation programming and logistics and coordinates all early arrival logistics for new students and student employees. This position, In partnership with the Director and Assistant assists with New Student Move-in and Parent/Family programming and supports the all transitions programming. This is a full time benefit eligible position that offers health, dental and vision insurance, retirement, disability, tuition assistance for you and your dependents, vacation/sick accrual and holiday pay.
Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree in College Student Personnel, Higher Education, Counseling, or a related field
A minimum of three years (post graduate school) of progressively responsible experience in addressing student transitional needs, coordination and management of events, and training and supervision of students or professional staff.
Experience managing websites, programmatic technology and multi-media projects.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Effective interpersonal skills with a track record of working effectively with students and faculty.
The ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
The ability to maintain high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

Demonstrated experience in Orientation programming, communication and support.
Demonstrated and successful experience working with people from diverse backgrounds.
Knowledge of and sensitivity to a Catholic Marianist work environment.

A federal court on December 7, 2021, issued a ruling that suspends the COVID-19 vaccine requirement that applies to federal contractors nationwide.
