Position Summary:

The University of Dayton's Human Resources department is looking for a Compensation Analyst to join our team! As a member of the Compensation Management Team, the Compensation Analyst provides professional level support to the compensation function for the universities staff classification and compensation programs. This is a full time position that is eligible for a hybrid remote work schedule that offers a great benefits package including health, dental and vision insurance, retirement, disability, tuition assistance, vacation/sick accrual and holiday pay.

Specific responsibilities may include: researching and evaluating classification & determination of grade levels, participating in assigned salary surveys; analysis of market data, developing and maintaining job descriptions, consulting with hiring managers and employment staff to determine the appropriate level of pay for new hires and internal transfers; and serving as a resource to both internal and external customers.

Minimum Qualifications:

*Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field with two years of related work experience OR an Associate's degree in related filed with four years of related work experience OR six years of relevant experience.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
*Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
*Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS, payroll and similar employee management software.
*Experience analyzing data, preparing reports and providing recommendations based on the analysis.
*Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
*Ability to manage multiple priorities.
*Commitment to excellent customer service.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

*Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field.
*At least 2 years of experience in Human Resources.
*One or more years of experience performing compensation analyst job duties or role.
*Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point, Banner and reporting tools.
*Successful experience working effectively with others in a wide variety of situations.
*Successful and strong organizational skills.
*Successful experience working both independently and as part of a team.
*Experience working with socially and culturally diverse communities.

A federal court on December 7, 2021, issued a ruling that suspends the COVID-19 vaccine requirement that applies to federal contractors nationwide.
