Position Summary: |
The University of Dayton is seeking a dedicated and experienced Groundskeeper to join our Facilities Management & Planning division. As a Groundskeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the beautiful and welcoming campus environment that our students, faculty, and staff enjoy every day.
This BU individual will be responsible for all aspects of maintenance of the University Grounds including Residential Properties. The Groundskeeper is responsible for the operation of some mechanized equipment assigned to the department, which includes, but may not be limited to carts, mowers, tractors, trucks, snow plows and vacs.

Minimum Qualifications: |
-High School Diploma or GED -Must be able to read and write English -Two (2) year’s experience in commercial Grounds Maintenance position -Experience in operating trucks, loaders, large tractors and other job related tools and equipment -Skilled in operating standard transmission vehicles -Must be able to follow detailed instructions, both oral and written -Individual must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable by the University which includes a low-risk driving record

Preferred Qualifications: |
While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:
-Current Pesticide License -Must be able to work independently -Paver/irrigation/landscaping experience
