Position Summary:

The International Student Coordinator (ISC) oversees a significant portion of the office’s immigration compliance work -- advising students, maintaining records, managing important immigration data and processes, and serving as an expert on F-1 and J-1 regulations. The ISC will play a key role in shaping the office’s policies and practices and creating an efficient and user friendly service experience.

Specific responsibilities include:

Manage, lead, and oversee important immigration resources and processes 70%
Serve as technical lead for international student case management system 10%
Develop and support office programming 10%
Other duties as assigned 10%

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree;
Experience teaching, mentoring, or advising students;
Experience developing academic, social, or cultural programming;
Federal regulations require that this position be held by a US citizen or US permanent resident.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

Familiarity with SEVIS and F/J immigration regulations;
Experience with ISSM or similar international case management software;
Ability to use technology to communicate and work productively;
Experience analyzing and interpreting data;
Experience developing intercultural programs;
Experience studying, living, or working overseas;
Fluency in a language other than English;
Master's degree in international studies, education, or related field
