Position Summary:

The University of Dayton's Athletics department is hiring! We invite qualified applicants to apply for our Coordinator of External Engagement & Marketing opening! This is a full time benefit eligible position that offers health, dental and vision insurance, retirement, disability, tuition assistance for you and your dependents, vacation/sick accrual and holiday pay.

The Coordinator, External Engagement and Marketing will be responsible for coordinating assigned external and marketing functions of the Division of Athletics, including, but not limited to:

- Coordinate the execution of women’s basketball marketing and ticket sales campaigns; including attendance/ticket sales and game presentation.
- Coordinate and oversee a student team in promoting awareness, attendance, and a positive fan experience for assigned sports.
- Assist in the game presentation for men’s basketball.
- Manage assigned projects in support of Division of Athletics goals; collaborating with departments across the organization, including, but not limited to, corporate partnerships, ticket sales, gameday entertainment, and content creation.
- Develop plans and ensure execution of all community outreach programs, including, but not limited to the Future Flyers Kids Club, community festivals and mascot appearances.

University of Dayton Athletics employees are expected to comply with all laws, policies, rules and regulations governing the University, the NCAA and the Atlantic 10.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree
One year equivalent of part-time experience in the arena of intercollegiate or professional athletics (teams, professional organizations, sports media companies, firms related to athletics).
Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays
Valid drivers license with low risk driving record

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

Successful experience with a collegiate sport, as a student-athlete, manager, coach or related role.
Successful experience in an NCAA Division I athletic department in the sphere or marketing, game operations, sales, or event management.
Successful experience with basic graphic design templates and components.
