A Fuel System Engineer conducts the construction, operation, maintenance, design-of - experiments, data reporting/interpretation for a system to simulate the delivery of jet fuel to an engine. This engineer should be able to successfully incorporate jet fuel tanks, pumps, tubing, filters, heat exchangers, flow controllers and diagnostics to evaluate the operation of simulated fuel systems for aircraft.

Minimum Qualifications: |
R1 level: BS Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or similar field 1 year of coop or job experience Experience with hand tools, tubing, tube fittings, etc. Working knowledge of DC/AC circuits, hydraulics and pneumatics Familiarity with data acquisition systems and some basic coding skills Experienced with MS Office Strong written or verbal communication skills Excellent organizational skills required Due to the nature of this position, the successful applicant must be a U.S Citizen Must be able to pass a national agency check

A minimum of three years of directly related experience Experience with hand tools, tubing, tube fittings, etc. Working knowledge of DC/AC circuits, hydraulics and pneumatics Familiarity with data acquisition systems and some basic coding skills Experienced with MS Office Strong written or verbal communication skills Excellent organizational skills required Due to the nature of this position, the successful applicant must be a U.S Citizen Must be able to pass a national agency check

Preferred Qualifications: |
While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:
R1 level: 1-2 years of engineering experience Experience with fuel handling systems, including tanks, hoses, pumps, etc. Experience with complex systems or equipment, including design, modification and rebuild Previous experience in R&D related to hydrocarbon fuels, instrumentation and control of small scale and bench-scale system More advanced experience with coding of data acquisition systems Experience with interpreting scientific data Experience with writing reports and documentation of R&D efforts and test results
R2 level: 2-3 years or more of engineering experience Experience with fuel handling systems, including tanks, hoses, pumps, etc. Experience with complex systems or equipment, including design, modification and rebuild Previous experience in R&D related to hydrocarbon fuels, instrumentation and control of small scale and bench-scale system More advanced experience with coding of data acquisition systems Experience with physical and chemical modeling to predict or explain experimental results Experience with interpreting scientific data Experience with writing reports and documentation of R&D efforts and test results
