Position Summary:

Facilities Management & Planning is responsible for the care and maintenance of 5 million square feet of academic, administrative & athletic facilities, on a 388 acre urban campus. The Senior Property Manager is responsible for contracting and managing third party property management resource delivery for university owned facilities leased to outside entities. The incumbent must be creative in devising strategies and building/organizing relations with tenants, licensees, events or speakers to maximize income and strengthen the University's reputation, mission and identity. He/she is also responsible for the coordination of building services/operations related to residential facilities including, but not limited to, cleaning, painting, remodeling, maintenance, furnishings, assuring student residences are ready for move in and assessing properties after move out. He/she will monitor the upkeep of all student rooms, apartments, houses, and suites, including common spaces, interiors, and exteriors.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required
Seven year's recent work experience in property management, real estate management or related field
Proven ability to work with external providers of facilities and real estate
services (i.e. maintenance/janitorial contractors, service contractors, utility providers, etc.)
Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of performance
Experience working with diverse constituents
High level of organizational skills and attention to detail
Individual must have a valid drivers license and be insurable by the University, which includes maintaining a low-risk driving record
Ability to respond to phone calls after hours

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

Bachelor's degree in construction/property management or related field
Demonstrated experience in construction/maintenance trades
Previous experience in a university environment
Experience in property evaluations/inspections
Effective interpersonal skills
Strong analytical skills
Experience working with socially and culturally diverse communities
