Position Summary: This position is located at the Advanced Technology and Training Center (ATTC) – Dayton, OH at the University of Dayton Research Institute. This position provides manufacturing operations support for aircraft and vehicle sustainment technology development and transition including vehicle maintenance, aircraft maintenance and ground support equipment. This position will support the Advanced Manufacturing Production Control Group and will report to the Production Control Group Leader. Duties will include, managing the production schedule, process analysis using ERP software and inventory management. In addition, this position will be responsible for the coordination, compilation, and facilitation of periodic AM metrics reviews. At the request of the Production Control Group leader this position may also be responsible for planning, coordination, and management of special projects.
Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in business management, finance, operations management, engineering/technology, or 5 years of experience in a related field.
• Three years of experience in production control or production management in a manufacturing environment (aerospace, automotive, or equivalent).
• Familiarity with lean concepts in a manufacturing environment (5S, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
• Experience in utilizing an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system or another method of manufacturing and resource planning.
• One to two years of experience using ERP software and has also implemented it in a design and manufacturing environment.
• Due to requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be a U.S. Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

• Bachelor's degree in in business management, finance, operations management, engineering/technology or 10 years of experience in a related field.
• 5 years of experience in production control or production management in a manufacturing environment (aerospace, automotive, or equivalent).
• Experience using Global Shop or E2 ERP software. Experience implementing new software preferred.
• Experience with inventory management within a manufacturing environment.
