Position Summary:

Dining Services is looking for individuals with diverse talents and backgrounds to join our nationally recognized team that is ranked #13 for Best Campus Food by the Princeton Review. We are committed to providing exciting and healthy food options to students, faculty and staff on campus. We invite candidates to apply for our Part time Dining Service Attendant II opening!

This position is responsible for food preparation/service and sanitation. (Filling steam tables. Retrieving food and supplies from the kitchen, coolers, warmers and dry stock areas to set up and maintain service lines.)

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English
Must be able to exert well-paced mobility for up to four hours
Must have the ability to lift equipment and supplies up to 40 lbs. in weight
Must be able to walk, bend, stoop and use finger dexterity for periods up to four hours at a time
Must be able to stand for up to four hours at a time
Must be able to listen attentively and comprehend verbal instructions in English
Must be able to visually differentiate colors for the purposes of food safety
Must be able to work when exposed to wet floors, temperature extremes and loud noise
Must be able to work independently with the appropriate amount of supervision

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

Six months in a previous food service preparation position
Successful experience assisting customers
Demonstrates a professional demeanor
Experience working with students and a diverse multicultural staff and customers

Special Instructions to Applicants: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. The University does not provide work visa sponsorship for this position.
