Position Summary: |
Under the direction of the Director of Athletics Enterprise Branding & Digital Strategy, the Athletics Graphic Designer/Content Creator will be the primary designer of graphics for external and internal needs. With a focus on Men’s and Women’s Basketball, the Graphic Designer/Content Creator will: ● Design all collateral and facility graphics; including print, digital, video board and social media graphics with the goal of raising brand awareness, increasing attendance, generating revenue, and maximizing fan engagement. ● Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine appropriate distribution mediums and stories of University of Dayton student-athletes, and produce recruiting content for various formats. ● Work closely with the External Team to develop new strategies and content ideas to engage fans in-venue and via digital mediums. ● Serve as an in-house photographer for select projects and events. ● Assist in the maintenance of an extensive library of quality photographic images that represent all aspects of Dayton Athletics. ● Manage archive and file photo and graphic files and projects, including assisting in managing content on INFLCR. ● May assist in other creative projects based on experience. ● Other duties/projects as assigned. ● Develop, lead and mentor a team of students. ● Maintain thorough knowledge of and adheres to all applicable University, Atlantic 10 Conference and NCAA rules and regulations |
Minimum Qualifications: |
● High School Diploma or equivalent ● 1 year of experience in creative graphics production. ● Knowledge of Sports Industry ● Prior experience with photography ● An established portfolio of completed projects. ● Excellent technical, communication, interpersonal, time management and organizational skills. ● Working knowledge of professional software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and other Adobe associated products. ● Understanding of the social media environment, how it is consumed by various demographics. ● Ability to work independently as well as effectively in a collaborative team environment. ● Ability to work on weekends, evenings, holidays. Travel as needed. ● Must possess a valid driver's license, maintain a low risk driving record and be able to be insured by the university.

Preferred Qualifications: |
While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:
● 3+ years of graphics experience. ● Experience with graphic design at the collegiate or professional athletics level. ● Sports photography experience. ● Experience with Adobe After Effects.
