While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:
• Knowledge and experience in organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, and development of analytical methods of chemical analysis.
• Strong math and computer skills to include comparative statistics, experimental design, and scripting/programming.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to understand and adhere to safety policies.
• Able to conduct literature searches and incorporate external sources into research programs.
• Able to author peer review level scientific publications and present technical and programmatic details to key stakeholders in the research community.
• Able to work with a diverse and experienced team of scientists, engineers, and technicians in support and advisory roles.
• Candidate should be able to plan and execute systematic research efforts adhering to standard research principles.
• Demonstrated history of punctuality and dependability at work.
• Demonstrated history of successful self-direction on complicated, multi-tiered, task.
• Previous experience working in a DoD facility.
