This position is responsible for food preparation/service and sanitation. (Filling steam tables. Retrieving food and supplies from the kitchen, coolers, warmers and dry stock areas to set up and maintain service lines.) Food preparation/service responsibilities may include the use of knives and commercial kitchen equipment (steamers, fryers, pizza ovens, turbo chefs, etc.) May provide customer service by tending food stations (providing proper serving sizes and keeping station well stocked with menu items and dry goods). Sanitation responsibilities include proper cleaning and storage of dishes, trays, eating utensils, cups, pots and pans. (Gathering dirty dishes from dining platforms and trayveyor . Dishwashing in three compartment sink or commercial dish machine. Refilling the dish machine with appropriate chemicals as needed. Reshelving dishes to appropriate areas.) This position follows all proper safety and sanitation policies and procedures. This position is responsible for reading and accurately processing tickets from the GET ordering system (reading order ticket, gathering/preparing items for the order, taking order to appropriate pick-up area).

| Minimum Qualifications: |
Must have a high school diploma or equivalency degree Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English Must be able to exert well-paced mobility for up to four hours Must have the ability to lift equipment and supplies up to 40 lbs. in weight Must be able to walk, bend, stoop and use finger dexterity for periods up to four hours at a time Must be able to stand for up to four hours at a time Must be able to listen attentively and comprehend verbal instructions in English Must be able to visually differentiate colors for the purposes of food safety Must be able to work when exposed to wet floors, temperature extremes and loud noise Must be able to work independently with the appropriate amount of supervision At least 3 months of successful food service preparation experience

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:
Six months in a previous food service preparation position Successful experience assisting customers Demonstrates a professional demeanor Experience working with students and a diverse multicultural staff and customers.
