Dining Services is searching for individuals seeking part-time catering opportunities. Duties may include services related to catered functions on and off campus. The Catering Service Attendant provides service according to order specifications, assists in food preparation, assists with room setup, works as bartender, follows set up and sanitation procedures. The Catering Service Attendant may work as a server for preseason ticket holders and VIP groups for pregame events during basketball season at the arena lounges while under the supervision of an Operations Assistant or Event Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

*Must have high school diploma or GED
*Ability to bend, stoop, stretch, reach, push, pull.
*Ability to lift equipment, food supplies up to 40 pounds in weight on a regular and continuing basis.
*Ability to stand or walk up to 4 hours at a time.
*Possess finger dexterity to use small tools proficiently and have hand/eye coordination.
*Position may be exposed to wet floors, temperature extremes and loud noise. Must be able to tolerate these conditions.
*Able to exert fast-paced mobility.
*Able to visually differentiate colors.
*Able to effectively communicate (written and spoken) in English.
*Ability to listen attentively to customers, supervisors and other employees.
*Must be able to work nights and weekends and adapt to a flexible schedule.

Special Instructions to Applicants:

A federal court on December 7, 2021, issued a ruling that suspends the COVID-19 vaccine requirement that applies to federal contractors nationwide. With this development, the University will pause any enforcement action against employees who have not complied with the requirement to be fully vaccinated by Dec. 8, 2021 or to have requested an exemption to maintain their employment status.

The University will continue to monitor the state of the pandemic on campus and in the community as well as developments in federal and state requirements, and also will continue to regularly consult with public health officials and our medical panel. As has been the case throughout the pandemic, our protocols and requirements are subject to change depending on conditions on campus or in our community, and government requirements.
