The division of Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) is focused on service excellence to recruit, enroll, and graduate highly qualified students and improve access, affordability, diversity, inclusion, and success.
The Assistant Director of Recruitment and Admission is responsible for leading the undergraduate transfer admission process, including attending and creating transfer-focused recruitment events, reviewing transfer applications for admission, and supporting transfer students through the application and admission process. In addition, the Assistant Director will coordinate and manage the University’s recruitment and outreach to Veterans, Service members, and their dependents. The Assistant Director will oversee daily transfer admission operations including but not limited to admission counseling, communication, and event strategies, and hosting virtual appointments with prospective students.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Recruitment and Admission for Transfer and Strategic Partnership Programs, the Assistant Director will collaborate with others within the Strategic Enrollment Management division, the Transfer Credit Office, the Office of Military and Veteran Programs and Services (MVPS), Student Transitions and Family Programs, and others across the University to ensure successful recruitment, enrollment, and transition strategies can be executed to the benefit of all students. In addition to working with transfer and military-affiliated students, the Assistant Director will contribute to achieving the overall recruitment and enrollment goals for the institution, including participation in activities and events that serve all prospective students and families. This position will manage an assigned recruitment territory and will communicate and build relationships with high school students, parents, high school counselors, community-based organizations, and other constituents. This position requires a person who is continually forward-thinking and uses strategy to develop and advance the university’s enrollment and student success efforts.

Minimum Qualifications: |
* Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university. * Three years or more of progressive administrative/professional experience in higher education, high school counseling, or other work involving attention to detail, public speaking, and personal interaction. * Ability to travel in the fall and spring for 6 to 8 weeks to perform the duties of the position. Demonstrated strong interpersonal, written, and communication skills with experience and the ability to effectively present before small and large audiences. * Ability to work efficiently with Microsoft suite office applications, as well as data management systems and/or customer relations management systems. * Ability to work independently. * A self-motivated and team-oriented individual capable of representing the University at the highest level. * The successful candidate will possess the ability to attend to detail, strong analytical abilities, problem-solving and organizational skills as well as time management skills. * The successful candidate will possess an ability to work in both traditional and nontraditional unstructured work environments, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. * The successful candidate must have a stated interest and desire to develop an understanding of and appreciation for the University’s Catholic and Marianist charisms. * Valid driver’s license with a low risk driving record.

Preferred Qualifications: |
While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:
* Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, College Student Personnel, Business Administration, or related fields from a regionally accredited university. * Professional experience working with Veterans and military-affiliated populations. * Demonstrated ability to analyze data to assess progress toward goals. * Prior experience and knowledge working with student and information systems such as Banner, CRM systems. * Demonstrated ability to work with diverse constituents with an understanding of the impact of socioeconomic conditions on opportunity and achievement. * Has served in the U.S. military, Veteran of U.S. Armed Forces, U.S. Reserves, or National Guard. * Four years of progressive work experience in admissions or enrollment management.
