Position Summary:

The division of Enrollment Management (EM) is focused on service excellence to recruit, enroll, retain and graduate highly qualified students while improving access, affordability, diversity, inclusion, and success. The University of Dayton (UD) has experienced significant growth in enrollment of transfer students, UD Sinclair Academy students, and consistent growth in prior learning credit. As a result, we seek a highly collaborative individual accustomed to a fast-paced working environment to serve as the inaugural Assistant Director in the Transfer Credit Office. This individual will deliver a high standard of excellence in student services, supporting our mission.

The Assistant Director is responsible for timely reviewing and posting of external coursework and nontraditional credit with great accuracy and a high degree of efficiency. The Assistant Director will have supervisory responsibilities for professional staff and student employees. . They will also serve as the transfer credit office’s liaison with Enrollment Services, academic units, and our community partners.

The Assistant Director works to continuously improve processes and services related to credit evaluation and the posting of college credits. The Assistant Director must demonstrate a desire for continuous learning, and will be cross-trained in other transfer-related areas, such as veterans, international, and other populations continue to expand at UD. The Assistant Director must have a clear understanding of FERPA compliance expectations and be adept at managing multiple competing priorities.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
* Experience with transfer credit evaluation and application (for both domestic and
international audiences)
* Experience working with community colleges
* Experience with Pathways or Articulation Agreements
* Experience creating and maintaining reports, files, and statistical data related to credit
evaluation
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Experience working with multiple constituencies and ability to collaborate with a diverse
staff.
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize time-sensitive tasks with
competing timelines.
* Collegiate registration/records or system and records maintenance experience (preferably
Banner/Ellucian systems)

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

* Master's degree from an accredited institution
* Experience implementing new systems or business processes
* TES basic certification (Administrator certification preferred); Transferology familiarity
* Experience with a CRM system similar to Salesforce/Education Cloud
* Familiarity with University of Dayton curricula, and its Common Academic Program
* Experience with DegreeWorks or related software
* Experience participating in assessment and collaboration exercises with academic and
other university stakeholders
* Experience supervising professional staff and student employees
