Reporting to the Treasurer, the Assistant Treasurer and Tax Manager manages institutional compliance with applicable federal and state corporate income tax laws and regulations for the University. This position is also responsible for monitoring daily cash balances, investing excess cash balances in accordance with University policy, and providing day-to-day oversight of all banking relationships.

Minimum Qualifications: |
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or another applicable field • Minimum of ten or more years relevant tax reporting experience with a high degree of autonomy • Strong knowledge and understanding of non-profit and higher education tax issues, including tax issues relating to international staff and students • Experience managing complex financial and tax matters, including matters that require a high degree of confidentiality • Highly proficient with computer systems and applications associated with tax laws, regulations, and filing procedures • Experience with banking and investment platforms • Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities • Ability to work independently as well as the ability to work well with colleagues and team members • Ability to work under pressure of time constraints, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines • Effective written and verbal communication skills
