As we are completing the university's first comprehensive campaign in 20 years, we are continuing to build on our philanthropic and engagement moment by growing our exceptional team of passionate, mission-driven Advancement professionals, looking for an Annual Giving Volunteer Coordinator.

The Annual Giving Volunteer Coordinator builds relationships, generates interest, and connects donors with their passions to attract funding for scholarship, experiential learning and faculty-led innovative programming. This position is responsible for the direct management of the volunteer peer-to-peer ambassadors and providing support to other volunteer groups utilizing a peer outreach strategy through our volunteer management system.

The coordinator will facilitate outreach to volunteer peer-to-peer ambassadors to train them appropriately, instill a culture of philanthropy and ensure the volunteer peer-to-peer ambassadors are up to date on key university-wide initiatives, engagement events, and new projects. They will be available to other volunteer managers who utilize the volunteer management system to provide training, and technical support and assist with creating strategic outreach plans for each group.

Working under the general direction of and reporting to the Director of Annual Giving and New Donor Initiatives, specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Maintaining a portfolio of volunteer peer-to-peer ambassadors with a targeted focus on developing and enhancing the relationship with UD.
-Providing peer-to-peer ambassador volunteers with clear instruction, the tools necessary and the continued support to share engagement content and make the direct solicitation and closure of annual giving gifts.
-Organizing peer-to-peer campaigns and monitoring daily, weekly and monthly activity through the volunteer management system.
-Benchmarking, measuring and reporting on peer-to-peer ambassadors and volunteer groups.
-In collaboration with Alumni Relations, identify and recruit volunteers to serve as peer-to-peer ambassadors and utilize regional community and University-wide engagement opportunities as a tool for outreach.
-Collaborating on strategy with and providing support for a portfolio of additional university volunteer groups, as assigned by the supervisor.
-Developing and implementing strategic plans to maximize dollars raised through and participation in, UD's Day of Giving, calendar year-end initiatives, fiscal year-end initiatives and key University projects.
-Working directly with a variety of constituent groups to communicate the financial need and impact of giving related to the goals annual giving has set forth.
-Assisting with annual Faculty and Staff giving campaign.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to produce solicitation-based and stewardship-based marketing and communication materials.
- Experience with the volunteer journey either through management, training or service.
- Proficiency in a variety of software applications including Microsoft Office.
- Experience managing multiple complex tasks and projects concurrently.
- Valid driver's license with low risk driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

-Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to conduct assessments, analyze data and produce reports.
-Experience in higher education within annual giving, alumni relations, fundraising, volunteer management or related fields is highly preferred.
-Previous experience as a volunteer manager and/or reunion fundraising coordinator.
-Working knowledge of fundraising principles with the ability and desire to reach aggressive goals.
-Strong knowledge of volunteer management with the proven ability to manage and train volunteers.
-Experience using the GiveCampus platform and/or another volunteer management system.
-Experience with advancement-related databases (i.e. SalesForce and/or Affinaquest).
-Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of individuals.
-Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise sound judgments in making decisions or recommendations.
-Demonstrated creativity with the ability to develop goals and giving strategies for the peer-to-peer volunteer ambassadors.
-A high level of independence, with the ability to work effectively and successfully with minimal supervision.
