Position Summary:

Are you interested in working for UDRI, a national leader in scientific and engineering research, serving government, industry and nonprofit customers? Join our Machine Shop as Research Machinist! This is a full time benefit eligible position that offers health, dental and vision insurance, retirement, disability, tuition assistance for you and your dependents, vacation/sick accrual and holiday pay.

The primary purpose of this position is to produce test samples, fixtures, tooling and special equipment to support UDRI.

Minimum Qualifications:

T2 Minimum Qualifications:
High school graduation or its equivalent, plus a minimum of three (3) years of related technical experience.
Formal technical training beyond high school can be substituted for two years of related experience.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
US Citizen

T3: High school graduation or its equivalent, plus a minimum of eight (8) years of related technical experience. Formal technical training beyond high school can be substituted for two years of related experience.
Ability to handle somewhat complex machining requirements, typically with only general supervision and periodic review.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Hurco, Milltronics and Accu Rite CNC mill and lathe controls.
Mitsubishi wire EDM programming and operation.
Machine/tool repair experience.

A federal court on December 7, 2021, issued a ruling that suspends the COVID-19 vaccine requirement that applies to federal contractors nationwide.
