Position Summary:

The Program Assistant is charged with providing administrative support for the University Honors Program (60%) and Women’s Center (40%). In the Honors program, this position works with the Executive Director, two Directors, two Coordinators, and student assistants; in the Women’s Center, this position supports the Director, Assistant Director, Research Assistant, and Interns. This position manages and maintains budget matters, assists with programs and events, and manages communications for both units.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
3 years professional administrative experience
Ability to maintain confidentiality of records
Effective computer skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Effective customer service orientation
Effective budget management and purchasing skills

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

Ability to process PAFs, check requests, and other basic university financial processes
Basic skills with GoogleSuite, MS Word, Excel, and University software programs such as Cognos and the Porches system, including Degree Works
Ability to direct inquiries to the proper office staff member
Ability to interact with students, families, faculty and staff in a professional manner
Demonstrated ability to multitask
Event planning experience
Demonstrated experience scheduling and facilitating logistics for meetings
