The Associate Workforce Engagement Specialist supports UDRI’s talent pipeline and student employee experience through coordinated programming, recruitment, and workforce development initiatives. This role manages the Student Scholar Program, assists with student-focused events, and builds relationships with academic and community partners to strengthen recruiting efforts. The specialist supports hiring managers with recruitment processes and tracks pipeline effectiveness. Additionally, this position contributes to workforce development across K–12 through early-career programs, coordinates training and outreach efforts, and provides data-driven insights. The role also ensures HR process consistency, supports workforce planning, and maintains data integrity across systems to enhance organizational effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
2. Experience in handling confidential information appropriately.
3. Experience working collaboratively on diverse and multifunctional teams.
4. The ability to influence internal and external customers without direct authority.
5. Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
6. The ability to stay organized, be self-directed, multi-task and appropriately prioritize responsibilities.
8. Proven ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects, including schedule, budget, and resources.
9. Intermediate level skills with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Pro.
10. Process improvement experience involving complex systems.
11. Due to the requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be a U.S. citizen.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

1. Advanced degree in a relevant field.
2. At least three years of experience in human resources or business management.
3. Experience with support of sponsored research programs.
4. Knowledge of recruitment best practices.
5. Knowledge of employee development best practices.
6. Experience with event planning.
7. Active human resources professional certification.
