Position Summary: The Student Employment Coordinator works closely with the Office of Student Employment, the Dining Services Associate Director as well as all General Managers/Managers/OAs to develop strategies, policies and procedures to assist in meeting optimum student staffing needs. Interviews hires, designates work location and trains up to 300 students department wide.
Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalency degree. Excellent written communication skills. One year of experience working with students in university setting. Ability to work independently and accurately with close attention to detail. Ability to work well with people at all levels. Highly proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Strong organizational skills. Managerial ServSafe certified or within one year of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate's degree from an accredited institution. Experience in student hiring in a university dining operation. Experience with HandShake or other similar hiring program. Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated employee recruitment skills. Managerial ServSafe. Ability to be adaptable and decisive. Demonstrates professional demeanor. Experience working with students and a diverse multi cultural staff.

Special Instructions to Applicants:

This full time position is 35 hrs/wk July-April and 14 hrs/wk in May and June. Primary hours 8:30am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday. Must also be available to work evenings and weekends.
