Position Summary: The Assistant Director of Recruitment and Admission is responsible for coordinating and managing the University’s recruitment of Hispanic, Latino,Latina, Latinx students. The bilingual Assistant Director will lead the planning and implementation of new recruitment strategies as well as assist with marketing and communication efforts to engage and attract a greater share of Hispanic, Latino, Latina,and Latinx students. Reporting to the Director of Recruitment and Admission for Transfer and Strategic Partnership Programs, the Assistant Director will collaborate with others within Enrollment Management and across the university to ensure successful recruitment, enrollment and transition strategies are developed and executed. To assist in these efforts, the Assistant Director may also provide supervision to student employees within the Office of Recruitment and Admission. In addition, the Assistant Director will contribute to achieving overall recruitment and enrollment goals for the institution, including participation in activities and events that serve all prospective students and families. This is not a status quo position, rather an exciting opportunity for a strategic-minded professional to develop and advance the ideal enrollment picture for the University of Dayton.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university.
At least two years of progressive work experience in recruitment and admission or related fields in higher education.
Ability to travel in the Fall and Spring for 6 to 8 weeks to perform the duties of the position.
Fluency in written and spoken Spanish language.
Strong interpersonal, written and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse constituents.
Prior experience and knowledge working with student and information systems, E.g. Banner, CRM systems, or relevant technologies.
Ability to work efficiently with Microsoft office applications is required.
Demonstrated ability to be highly independent, self-motivated and team oriented and to represent the University of Dayton at the highest level.
High attention to detail with demonstrated strong analytical, problem solving, time management and organizational skills.
Ability to work in both traditional and nontraditional unstructured work environment, and have the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Must have a stated interest and desire to develop an understanding and appreciation of the University of Dayton’s Catholic and Marianist charism.
Valid driver's license with low risk driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, College Student Personnel, or related fields from regionally accredited university.
Demonstrated ability to analyze data to assess progress toward goals.
Demonstrated successful experience recruiting Hispanic, Latino,Latina, and Latinx students at a top-tier research institution.
Demonstrated successful experience in recruiting multiethnic and multicultural students at a top-tier research institution.
Three years of progressive work experience in admissions or enrollment management.
Previous supervisory experience.
