The division of Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) is focused on service excellence to recruit, enroll and graduate highly qualified students and improve access, affordability, diversity, inclusion, and success.
The Senior Assistant Director, Recruitment and Admission provides leadership for all first-level services for international and domestic applicants within an assigned territory. Reporting to the Director of Recruitment and Admission, the Senior Assistant Director will oversee the delivery of excellent service to international and domestic prospective students and all other constituents who interact with the office. This includes admission and financial aid counseling to prospective international and domestic students through group presentations, individual interviews, and phone/email communication. This position is responsible for reviewing admission applications and overseeing the international admission process for undergraduate students.
The Senior Assistant Director will work closely with members of other offices on campus and external partners, including embassies and sponsorship agencies. Additionally, this position will support UDayton Global initiatives and the associated admission processes. This role will assist the Director with planning and implementation of strategic recruitment initiatives and continued process improvement. This role will also serve as a Designated School Official (DSO) who will understand immigration rules and regulations and thus issue immigration documentation to qualified students. Finally, the Senior Assistant Director is expected to actively develop self-awareness around issues of diversity and inclusion as we become an anti-racist university.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree Required. Two to three years in Higher Education experience.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Strong planning and organizational skills. Highly motivated, self-directed, and results-oriented with the ability to maintain multiple projects.
Willing to travel for up to four weeks per year within and outside of the U.S.
Due to job requirements, must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident of the U.S.
Must have a valid driver's license with less than six points on driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree;
Previous experience with immigration regulations and/or immigration law;
Designated School Official.
Five years of experience in Enrollment Management/Admissions. Experience working with international students both domestically and internationally.
Previous experience with Banner and/or Salesforce/CRM. Outstanding public speaking and presentation skills.Supervisory experience, including training and development of staff. Demonstrated experience working with families and students from diverse backgrounds.
