This full-time, 12-month staff position coordinates events in the new Roger Glass Center for the Arts, comprising an Experimental Theatre, Concert Hall, Art Gallery, and Media Center. This position also serves as the Front of House Manager for the new Roger Glass Center for the Arts, ensuring that all events in the new Center are staffed and provide a positive experience for audience members.

This position's start date coincides with the opening of the new Glass Center for the Arts, and spaces operated by the Theatre, Dance, and Performance Technology program (TDP), the Departments of Music, Art & Design (A&D), and Flyer Media’s television and radio studios. The theatre, dance, and musical/opera productions adhere to production guidelines that ensure educational spaces for students, faculty, and staff to thrive, including theatrical intimacy direction, and a work/life balance approach that promotes equity.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree
At least five years of Arts Administration experience in the performing arts
Strong organizational skills
Professional events coordination experience
Practical experience in marketing and promotions
Articulated ability to support the University of Dayton’s commitment to the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion
Effective written communication skills
Ability to work independently with a high degree of flexibility
Ability to work evenings and weekends in support of building events and operations
Substantive engagement with the arts

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

Bachelor’s Degree in Arts Administration or related field
Master’s Degree in Arts Administration or related field
Box office management experience
House Management experience
Effective oral communication skills
Graphic design proficiency
Experience in supervising higher education arts students
Appreciation for community-engaged creative scholarship
Social media promotional experience
Ability to collaborate and build relationships with constituents in and beyond the University of Dayton
Expressed willingness to engage with Marianist educational values that build community across diversity, promote inclusive excellence, and contribute to the common good

A federal court on December 7, 2021, issued a ruling that suspends the COVID-19 vaccine requirement that applies to federal contractors nationwide.
